VOLUNTEER: Fence at Lyle Springs Pond

This spring, Henrys Fork Wildlife Alliance (an IWF Affiliate) partnered with the Forest Service for a Resource Advisory Committee (RAC) grant to build 1,000 ft of fence around one of the Lyle Springs Ponds. The purpose is to preserve the pond as an important amphibian breeding site by preventing illegal ATV use.

This will be a multiple all-day project. Come for as long as you're able, even if its only for half a day. Volunteers need to bring work gloves, sturdy clothing, sun-protection and water bottles. If you'd like to bring your own spike-hammers and hearing protection, they will come in handy. HFWA will provide shade, hearing protection, chairs, extra water, and lunches each day. Let us know what days you're coming so we can order enough lunches.

We will begin work each day at 8:30am at Lyle Springs. Here is a google maps link to get there. The easiest way to get to Lyle Springs is to take the Green Canyon Road west (North of the Harriman State Park entrance) for four or five miles and head south on FR 170 two miles to Lyle Springs. The Springs are west of FR 170.

Sign up to volunteer by emailing caitlyn@henrysforkwildlifealliance.org.
