Since 1936, Idaho Wildlife Federation has been dedicated to fish, wildlife, habitat, and public lands in Idaho, and we will continue to do so through the ongoing support of our members and partners.
CONSERVING Idaho’s Wild Landscapes
Idaho faces challenges every day, from rapid development to habitat fragmentation caused by infrastructure and industry. The Idaho Wildlife Federation works to keep our state connected through practical, results-driven initiatives that protect and enhance wildlife habitats. Whether advocating for public land protections, supporting legislation to protect migration corridors, or ensuring our waters remain clean and healthy for fish and wildlife, we are dedicated to preserving the wild places and ecosystems that make Idaho special.
Maintaining sporting traditions and science based wildlife management
As hunters and anglers, we recognize the deep-rooted sporting traditions that are part of Idaho's heritage. Through science-based wildlife management and conservation efforts, we work to ensure sustainable populations of fish and game species for current and future generations. By supporting sound policies and fostering collaboration with sportsmen, agencies, and communities, we uphold the values of responsible stewardship and the enjoyment of Idaho’s natural resources.
Uniting Idaho’s Communities
Idahoans from all walks of life—whether farmers, anglers, hunters, or recreationists—share a deep connection to our wildlife and wild spaces. This shared passion unites us across diverse backgrounds and drives initiatives like our advocacy for public access to outdoor spaces and sustainable hunting and fishing practices. These efforts not only sustain Idaho's traditions but also provide opportunities for everyone to enjoy and benefit from the land, fostering a sense of shared responsibility for its stewardship.
Inspiring the Future Stewards of Idaho
Kids who grow up exploring Idaho’s vast public lands and waterways are much more likely to become the next generation of conservationists. By championing outdoor opportunities and promoting policies that encourage family-friendly outdoor access, the Idaho Wildlife Federation helps connect youth to the natural world. These experiences not only cultivate future hunters, anglers, and public land advocates but also ensure that Idaho’s outdoor heritage continues to thrive.
