Introducing: Emily Fisher - Philanthropy Coordinator, Idaho Wildlife Federation
Idaho Wildlife Federation (IWF) is proud to announce Emily Fisher as its very first Philanthropy Coordinator.
A Boise native, Fisher comes to IWF after a career in business management.
Fisher describes her role at IWF as primarily engaging supporters and potential supporters, ensuring that they are informed of opportunities to contribute and then being made aware of how those contributions are utilized.
“I am really excited about boots-on-the-ground outreach,” Fisher said. “IWF has and will continue to get a lot of people excited about sporting and conservation and I’m personally excited to help share how our supporters really are making a difference.”
“There have been times in my life…” Fisher said, when asked about why she initially pursued the role at IWF, “when as little as $5 has changed the world for me and I want everyone to know that every time they give of themselves, it really does make a difference.”
“Having the skill-set I do and being able to work in conservation is easily the most fulfilling work I’ve ever done,” Fisher said. “I chased the American dream and was successful at it but as I’ve matured, I’ve realized making a tangible impact to the things I care about is far more important”
Fisher grew up in the outdoors, mainly fishing with her father, himself an avid sportsman. Self-taught, Fisher does admit to being a “fair-weather” hunter.
You can reach Fisher at EFisher@IdahoWIldlife.Org with any questions regarding donations, contributions or general support.
