VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Stream Restoration on Warm Springs
Idaho Wildlife Federation solicits 12 volunteers for a stream restoration project on Warm Springs Creek in East Boise.
On Saturday, October 5th, from 9 AM-12 PM, a dozen volunteers to assist IWF and conservation partners Trout Unlimited in fortifying banks of the small tributary of the Boise River to better maintain streamflow, in turn creating additional spawning habitat for trout and other fishes of the Boise River.
There will be a variety of roles, including physical labor like using a sand wand to move sediment deposits, placing and securing bank reinforcement, and planting fauna for bank security.
